Sense of touch: Fabrics

In my quest to find the very best ways to invite others to experience their senses in the very rich, intense ways I myself do, I give you this:

Velvet, cotton, angora?
Doesn’t matter.
The point is to touch it.
Feel it. Experience it.
Know the difference
Between each one
As you feel it
Beneath your fingertips.
Try a caress.
A grab.
A fistful of it.
A snuggle against the fabric.
Which one most reminds you
Of who you are?
(Wear that one!)
And revel in your sense of touch.

I See Hearts Everywhere

I See Hearts Everywhere

I should really create a sub-section of this blog, specifically for the heart-shaped things that I see. I come across them fairly frequently. Here are just a few of the ones I’ve seen over the last few years:

June 21, 2011- I don’t recall where I was, but there was a heart floating in my cappuccino cup.

September 20, 2011: I was enjoying a little Ciao Bella gelato in the comforts of my home and it melted onto my spoon in the shape of a heart! This was not to be my last encounter with Ciao Bella hearts!

July 11, 2011: Enjoying a steak dinner with my mom at Le Avenue, my garlic herb butter was, while not necessarily heart-healthy, certainly heart-shaped!butter on steak heart

I have countless other pictures of similar heart-shaped encounters, but this is a good start for now. I will add these in installments as I rediscover the photos.

Hope you enjoy my heart-shaped encounters as much as I do!
